The summer of 2010 marked the tenth anniversary of the Subdued Stringband Jamboree, first held in September then moved to August, at the Deming Logging Show grounds near Bellingham.

Robert Sarazin Blake, my nephew, is the surviving co-founder of the two day music festival and it’s producer. I did a short documentary of the jamboree in 2004 that became the jumping off point for this documentary celebrating 10 years.

A 45 minute version screened at the Boundary Bay pub in Bellingham on July 1st, then edited down to 30 minutes and copies made for sale at the 2011 Jamboree.

Surprise! It’s available on this website at the special two-for-one price of only $15. A secret deal only for readers of this post — make the purchase of one copy for $15 and I will included a second one, no questions asked. (And it includes taxes and shipping!)

Hope to see you at this year’s Jamboree, August 10 and 11, 2012!
