Eric is a third generation wheat farmer; in fact, his grandfather is included with Les and Gregory's Gottlieb Knapp pointed out in the historic photo used in the previous scene. Eric placed his farm in the Conservation Reserved Program (CRP) several years ago, a Federal progarm that will pay him to conserve the land that he is no longer farming. He drives a school bus now, and helps out with harvest by driving the wheat truck for Les and Gregory.
